In a recent article regarding the resumption of international air travel to Nigeria, we stated that flights will resume on the 29th of August. We just received word that this date has now been pushed back to September 5th, 2020.
In a statement from by Director-General of the NCAA, Musa Shuaibu Nuhu, he mentioned that they were still working on non-aviation logistics and other protocols.
We have other non-aviation logistics we are still working on, mostly the COVID-19 protocol tests and online platform….we need to get this ready. – Musa Nuhu
It is understandable that officials want to ensure that they get this resumption “right” or they could be dealt with embarrassing results, and there is also the reality that many international destinations in Europe are not open for travel either.
Better to be correct than hasty.
