You may have recently heard that Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon and the richest man in the world, whose net worth is around $110 billion dollars (around 40 TRILLION naira!), recently purchased a flat in New York City.
What did he pay for his new part time home? A cool $80 million dollars – or about 29 billion naira.
This kind of wealth is unfathomable for most, and in reality for the price of his house, he could purchase an entire city in Nigeria!
What are the Details?
Located on 212 Fifth Avenue New York City, this mega penthouse is actually 3 residences that he combined together. The penthouse alone is about 10,000-square-feet (930-square-meters).
He purchased two units below and then merged them together to create a stunning 17,000-square-foot (1580-square-meters) palace.
The sprawling mansion has 5 bedrooms and 5 and a half bathrooms, glorious views of Manhattan, and there is an observatory at the top of the property which is surrounded by tall sheets of glass.
The master suite alone has 7 rooms – two dressing rooms, a vast en-suite, home office, a sitting room and large closets- it offers needed privacy from the rest of the residence.
There is a 5000-square-foot (465-square-meters) terrace that offers a great outdoor living area that would be awesome for entertaining.
Could you manage living in a place of this magnitude?
I wonder what the house of Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote is like. I am sure it is also fabulous.
I will now get back to daydreaming about owning may own mansion.
