4 Lagos Hotels Worth a Stay

Lagos has no shortage of hotels. From the mainland to the islands, locals, visitors and dignitaries alike have a wide selection for their business or pleasure.

For the picky lodgers, today we will highlight a few hotels in Lagos that are worth a relaxing stay.

If your favourite hotel is not on this short list, please do not be annoyed, this is just a mini list of select spots that we found to be a good value and offer an overall pleasant experience.

Four Points by Sheraton

This would be our choice for a business stay. The hotel offers quality amenities, great service and its location in Victoria Island is well suited for business endeavors.

It has great conference centers for business meetings and presentations, as well as a proper fitness center and amazing spa. Don’t worry there also is a sports bar to wet your whistle as you watch the match and devour delicious delectables.

EKO Hotels and Suites

I must admit, this is my personal favourite hotel in Lagos. It just brings back memories as a youngster – checking in with the family, bouncing on the beds and running to play in the pool and lounging around drinking endless cups of Chapman.

Now the Eko Hotel is definitely showing its age, but management has done a great job keeping it updated and touched with modern amenities.

It has everything you would expect from a good hotel: great pool, restaurants, fitness center and well kept grounds – the service is top notch too. Mainly due to nostalgic feelings, whenever I am in Lagos, I am always inclined to stay here.

Southern Sun Ikoyi

The Southern Sun Ikoyi is truly an impressive place, a resort of sorts. It is a local favourite and also a haven for epats and foreign visitors.

It has modern facilities, gourmet restaurants, impeccable grounds, gleaming pool, and anything else you would expect from a top class establishment.

So if you want to impress some friends or visitors, take them here, our if you just want to take the family to a fancy brunch – this is your place.

Radisson Blu Anchorage

The Radisson Blu Anchorage hotel is another top choice in Victoria Island. It has glorious views of the lagoon and is a great place for rest and relaxation. With a convenient central location, this hotel is perfect for business travelers, locals and tourists.

It has modern decor and excellent facilities, including wedding/conference venues, massage parlor, fine dining with Nigerian and international cuisine, and a sweet terrace where everyone flocks to have a lite bite to eat and to enjoy the popular infinity pool – do yourself a favor and check it out.

OK, so you have 4 solid hotel choices next time you are in an around Lasgidi. Again, this is not a comprehensive list, and there many other fine establishments that we did not highlight, but for today this will do… now please excuse me while i get back to sipping my Chapman by the pool.
